15 Best Holiday Party & End-of-Year Photo Booth Ideas for 2026 & 2027

Holiday & End-of-Year Party Guide

15 Best Holiday Party & End-of-Year Photo Booth Ideas for 2026 & 2027

By Big Day Events · Updated November 2026

You booked the venue. You picked the menu. The invites are out. Now comes the big question: what will make people excited to show up?

A great holiday party isn’t just dinner and a playlist. It’s the moment your whole finance team turns into cartoon superheroes. It’s your quietest coworker strutting in slow motion like a movie star. It’s a crowd gathered around a robot, cheering while it sketches someone’s face.

That is what the best corporate holiday party entertainment does. It gives coworkers a reason to laugh together, talk to people they don’t usually talk to, and go home with something they actually want to keep.

We’re Big Day Events, and creating those moments is our favorite thing in the world. Here are 15 photo booth and entertainment ideas we love for holiday parties, year-end celebrations, and employee appreciation events, with real examples from events we’ve produced.

AI Caricature Photo Booth: Everyone’s Favorite Version of Themselves

Starting at $2,800

This is the one people talk about on Monday morning.

Guests grab their favorite coworkers, step up to the kiosk, and snap a photo. About 30 seconds later, the group pops back out as hand-drawn-style caricatures: big smiles, bigger personalities, and a background built just for your party.

Picture your accounting team as holiday superheroes. Your leadership team bundled up in a sparkling winter wonderland. Two sales reps as Christmas elves sitting on a shelf. The magic is seeing yourself, and the people you spend all year with, in a totally unexpected way.

And it works for every personality. Shy guests love it because it’s quick and flattering. Loud guests love it because it’s hilarious. Everyone loves passing the phone around to see what the next group looks like.

Make it yours

We design the art around your event: a holiday theme, your company logo on a building in the background, or something completely custom. For one HR conference, we turned every guest into their HR “work role,” like The Closer, The Mediator, and The Guardian. Guests get their caricature by text or email, and we can add printed keepsakes too.

Personalized Gifts & Live Engraving: Give Them Something They’ll Actually Keep

Get a custom quote

Most holiday party giveaways end up in a drawer. This one ends up on the kitchen counter.

We set up a little holiday gift shop right at your party. Guests browse a curated table, pick the gift they really want, and watch as their name or a personal message is added on the spot. Think cutting boards, wallets, coffee table games, and other keepsakes we source ahead of time to fit your budget and brand.

Here’s our favorite part: a lot of guests choose a gift for someone else. A cutting board for Mom. A wallet for a spouse. A game for the kids. Your employees cross one more thing off their holiday shopping list, and your company gets the credit.

Want your logo on it? We can add company branding in a subtle way, so the gift still feels personal and not like a promo item.

At one recent event, guests picked a wooden tic-tac-toe game, told us who it was for, and watched the laser engrave “To: [their name] From: [the company]” right on the board. It took just a few minutes, and the line kept growing all day.

AI Video Photo Booth: Put Your Team in the Movie

Starting at $4,000

A photo is great. A short movie starring you is better.

With our AI video booth, guests step in front of the camera and become the stars of a custom video. One group rides a sled down a snowy mountain. Another is dancing inside a giant snow globe. Another gets chased by a very grumpy green holiday character. Your theme, your branding, your story.

We can bring big TV screens, or connect to the screens at your venue, so the finished videos play for the whole room. That’s when the cheering starts. Every video is also a piece of branded content guests want to post, which makes your marketing team very happy.

Real AI videos we created for holiday and corporate parties. Guests get the full video to keep and share.

Best for: modern company parties, tech teams, company anniversaries, branded celebrations.

Classic Photo Booth: A Party Favorite for a Reason

Starting at $2,200

Sometimes the classics are classics because they just work.

Studio lighting. A great backdrop. Jumbo props and custom prop signs with your inside jokes. Unlimited sessions all night long. Guests can be silly with their work besties or pose like a magazine cover with the whole department.

Every photo comes out branded for your company, as a classic strip or a single print. It’s easy, it’s fun, and it gives your party that buzzing “there’s always a group by the booth” energy.

Red Carpet Glam Portraits: The Gala Look, at Your Party

Get a custom quote

Everyone dressed up. Let’s prove it.

A professional photographer runs a mini red carpet session. Unlike a regular photo booth, this is a professionally posed, magazine-style portrait. The photographer guides each guest: chin here, shoulders there, now give me that smile.

We polish each portrait on site into a timeless black-and-white image on a clean white backdrop: elegant, flattering, and ready to frame. These are the photos that end up on the piano at home, the kind of portrait a family keeps for years.

It’s perfect for black-tie parties, gala nights, and any theme with a little glamour, from a classic Hollywood evening to a secret agent soirée.

PR Photography with Facial Recognition: Your Photos Find You

Get a custom quote

At a big party, the best moments don’t happen in front of a booth. They happen at the bar, on the dance floor, and in that corner where the whole team finally gets a group shot.

Our photographers move through the room and capture all of it. Then the fun part kicks in. After a guest’s first photo, they add their phone number on the photographer’s device (with their permission). From then on, every time they show up in another picture, their phone buzzes: a new photo was just added to their personal album.

No scrolling through 800 photos. No “can you send me that one?” The pictures find them. We can also print branded photos on the spot.

Lenticular Photo Prints: Two Pictures, One Magic Keepsake

Starting at $3,500

At first glance, it looks like a regular photo. Then you tilt it.

A lenticular print holds two images in one. Look from one side and you see the guest’s portrait. Tilt it and it changes to your company logo, a holiday message, or a fun themed scene. No batteries. No screen. Just a little bit of printed magic.

Lenticular printing has been around for years, but most guests have never had one made of themselves. Watch what happens: people pick it up, tilt it back and forth, and immediately walk over to show someone else. Then it goes somewhere special at home, with your brand right in the middle of it.

Best for: holiday parties, premium branded giveaways, company anniversaries, product launches.

#8

Glambot: Hollywood Red Carpet Magic

Starting at $5,000

You’ve seen it at award shows and movie premieres. Now it’s your team’s turn.

A robotic camera arm swings around each guest at high speed and films a dramatic slow-motion clip. Hair flips. Dresses swirl. Someone tosses a cowboy hat. Someone else does the move they’ve been practicing all week. The result looks like a red carpet arrival.

The energy around a Glambot is electric. Guests cheer each other on, then crowd around the screen to watch the replay. We add your branding to every clip, so it’s ready to share.

180° Bullet Time Camera Array: Freeze the Moment

Starting at $6,200

Remember the movie scene where time freezes and the camera swoops around the hero? That’s this.

A curved row of cameras (9 for the standard setup, up to 15 for an even smoother sweep) fires at the exact same instant. We stitch the shots together into a moving clip that circles the guest while they’re frozen mid-air: mid-jump, mid-toast, mid-dance move.

It works for one person or a whole group. Add a branded step-and-repeat and a red carpet, and every guest gets a true VIP moment. Guests text or email their clip right from the sharing station, and get a link to a branded page made just for your event.

Custom Trading Cards: Turn Coworkers Into Collectibles

Get a custom quote

Everybody knows trading cards. They’re the keepsakes people save for years and pass down to their kids. So when you hand someone their very own card, it says: you’re one of a kind.

Guests pose for a photo, and we turn it into a collectible card with their name, title, and a fun slogan or “stats.” Go classic sports card, fantasy hero, holiday edition, or a design built around your company. Departments love collecting the full team set.

We can even seal cards in collector-style cases, so they feel like the real thing.

Roaming Photo Booth: Bring the Fun to the Guests (Plus a Contest)

Get a custom quote

Not every guest walks up to a booth. So we bring the booth to them.

A friendly brand ambassador with a handheld booth moves through the party, finds the groups having the most fun, and snaps photos right where people are standing. Prefer a showstopper? Our roaming photo booth robot rolls around the room and gets everyone’s attention.

Regular photos, or something way more creative

Roaming doesn’t have to mean plain snapshots. We can turn those photos into caricatures, movie posters, or a full theme. At one welcome reception with a tennis theme, the “Optro Open,” guests swung a real racket in front of a striped tennis-court backdrop, and we turned their shots into slick tournament-style prints and artsy motion-blur serves.

Party idea: make it a contest. Pick a theme, like tennis, and announce a prize: the best tennis photo of the night wins a pickleball set. Or let the room decide: the post with the most likes wins. Suddenly everyone is posing harder, sharing more, and your party is all over social media.

Best for: cocktail parties, networking nights, multi-room venues, themed parties.

Robot Sketch Artists: Watch a Robot Draw Your Portrait

Get a custom quote

There’s something about a robot arm drawing a face that makes people stop in their tracks.

Here’s how it works. Guests take a photo at our kiosk, then walk over to the robots. Their portrait joins the queue, and one by one, the robot arms start sketching with real pens on real paper. In a world full of instant digital images, watching a machine draw you line by line is strangely mesmerizing.

Crowds gather. People ask questions. They wait and watch, and that gives your team a few easy minutes to chat with every single guest. Then they walk away with a one-of-a-kind drawing.

Real story: Black Hat 2026. We ran robot sketch artists at the JetStream booth during Black Hat, one of the biggest cybersecurity conferences in the world. Over 14 hours, the robots drew about 900 guests, the crowds never stopped, and the booth was nominated for best booth.

We create custom magazine covers starring your employees: “Company of the Year,” “Leadership Issue,” “Rookie of the Year,” whatever fits your story. We can shoot on a green screen, add a glam AI touch-up, or do a complete transformation into a sports star or business icon.

It’s a perfect fit for year-end awards and recognition moments. Print them big for the room, or hand each winner their own copy.

360 Video Booth: Spin, Strike a Pose, Share

Starting at $2,200

The 360 booth isn’t new, and that’s fine. It’s still one of the best ways to get a whole group laughing on one platform.

Guests step up, the camera spins around them, and they get a slow-motion video that’s made to be shared. Where we like to push it further is the set. We build custom scenes or use our LED wall, and add effects that match your theme. For one “fire and ice” party, flames appeared right in the videos.

Best for: dance-floor parties, team celebrations, groups who love to ham it up.

The Grand Slam: Live Custom T-Shirt Printing

Get a custom quote

We saved the grand slam for last. This is the one guests literally wear home.

Guests step into a custom scene we create ahead of time and take a photo, just like a photo booth. Then we transform it into artwork: a movie poster, a sports champion, a magazine cover, a cyberpunk hero, a graffiti portrait, even a funny fake mugshot. A few minutes later, their design comes off the press on a real T-shirt.

Printing takes about two minutes per station, and we usually run two stations so the line keeps moving. While shirts are printing, our team chats with guests, shows off other designs, and shares your company’s message.

Add your logo, a team slogan, or the party hashtag. This isn’t another generic company tee. It’s a shirt with their face on it, made for them, in front of them. People wear these for years.

Best for: employee appreciation, holiday parties, big company celebrations, experiential marketing.

Every Detail, Every Event: The Vibe Is Part of the Experience

A photo booth is only as good as the room around it. That’s why we sweat the details at every single event, big or small.

Glowing LED walls. Neon light tunnels. Confetti that catches the light at just the right moment. Lighting that flatters every face and every outfit. We design each setup so it looks beautiful from across the room and pulls guests in before they even know what’s waiting for them.

The result is more than a picture. Your guests step into an immersive photo experience, the room gets a vibe everyone remembers, and the photos look as good as the night felt.

Your Holiday Party Questions, Answered

What’s the best photo booth for a company holiday party?

Honestly? It depends on your crowd. Big party, short night: go with AI caricatures. They take about 30 seconds a photo and people never get tired of them. Dressed-up crowd: a Glambot or glam portraits. Want people leaving with something in their hands: trading cards, T-shirts, or lenticular prints. Tell us who’s coming and we’ll tell you exactly what we’d do.

How much does a holiday party photo booth cost?

Here’s where things start:

Classic Photo Booth$2,200
360 Video Booth$2,200
AI Caricature Photo Booth$2,800
Lenticular Photo Prints$3,500
AI Video Photo Booth$4,000
Glambot$5,000
180° Bullet Time Camera Array$6,200

Those are starting prices. Hours, guest count, and extras like a custom backdrop or a second station move the number. Everything else on this list gets a custom quote, so just ask.

Can we have more than one experience at the same party?

Yes, and we usually recommend it. Two or three stations spread people around the room and keep the lines short. Plus, the guy who’d never get in a 360 booth will happily wait for a robot sketch. A few combos we keep coming back to:

  • Hollywood Holiday: Glambot + glam portraits + AI video
  • Appreciation Gift Shop: live engraving + T-shirt printing + lenticular prints
  • Future of Fun: AI caricatures + robot sketch artists + the roaming robot
  • Classic Celebration: classic booth + PR photography + trading cards
  • Awards Night: magazine covers + 180° array + glam portraits
  • Game Day: a themed roaming contest + trading cards + T-shirts
We’re expecting a big crowd. What moves the fastest?

AI caricatures, a classic booth, roaming photos, and PR photography all handle big numbers without a long wait. For a smaller VIP group, slow it down and go for the wow: the 180° array, the Glambot, or glam portraits.

How much space do you need?

Less than you’d think. Roaming needs basically nothing. A classic booth needs a wall for the backdrop. The Glambot, 360, and 180° array need more room and a clear path for guests to walk up. Send us the floor plan and we’ll figure out where everything goes, and we’ll keep it out of the way of the bar and the dance floor.

Do guests get something to keep, or something to post?

Usually both. To keep: lenticular prints, trading cards, T-shirts, robot sketches, and engraved gifts. To post: AI video, Glambot, 360, and bullet time clips. Most of what we do gives you a little of each.

Can you put our logo on everything?

Pretty much. Photos, backdrops, videos, prints, cards, shirts. For a holiday party we usually keep it light, maybe a logo in the corner and your colors. For a client event or a brand activation, we’ll go all in and make the brand the star.

What are some good employee appreciation ideas?

Make it personal. Our live engraving gift shop is a big one. People pick a gift (a lot of them pick it for Mom) and watch their name go on it. Custom shirts and trading cards make everyone feel like the star. Magazine covers and glam portraits are great for calling out the year’s wins. Then add caricatures or the robots for laughs.

Is this only for Christmas parties?

Not at all. We do year-end parties, employee appreciation nights, company anniversaries, awards, New Year’s, winter galas, team-building nights, and client receptions. We also do holiday parties for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or just a cozy winter theme. We build the theme around your people so everyone feels part of it.

What’s new for 2026 and 2027?

A few of our favorites right now: robots that draw guests live, AI videos that drop your team into a holiday movie, live T-shirt printing, lenticular prints that flip when you tilt them, custom trading cards, and contests like “best tennis photo wins a pickleball set.”

How does the AI caricature booth work?

You pose, alone or with your crew, and about 30 seconds later you’re a hand-drawn-style caricature in a scene we designed for your party, like a winter wonderland or your office skyline. It goes straight to your phone by text or email, and we can add prints.

What’s the difference between a Glambot and a regular photo booth?

A regular booth takes a photo. A Glambot is a robotic camera arm that whips around you and films a slow-motion clip, like the red carpet videos from award shows. It’s half photo booth, half show, and people stand around just to watch.

What’s a lenticular print?

It’s a print with two pictures in it. Hold it one way and it’s your portrait. Tilt it and it flips to a logo, a holiday message, or a fun scene. No screen, no batteries. People can’t stop tilting it.

Can guests get personalized gifts at the party?

Yes. We set up a little gift shop right at the party. Guests pick something, like a cutting board, a wallet, or a game, and we engrave their name or a message right there. We choose the gifts with you ahead of time so they fit your budget and your brand.

Will you set up at our venue? Do you travel?

Yes and yes. Office lobbies, hotel ballrooms, restaurants, rooftops, convention centers, all across the country. We work out load-in, power, staff, and all the little details with your venue, so you can actually enjoy your own party.

How early should we book?

As soon as you have a date. December fills up fast, and custom themes, branded designs, and gifts take time to make. Even if you don’t have the details yet, reach out and we’ll help you shape the plan.

What can we do instead of boring giveaways?

Skip the mug. Give people something made for them on the spot: an engraved keepsake, a T-shirt with their own artwork, a lenticular print, a robot-drawn portrait, a trading card. People keep things with their name or face on them. They toss the rest.

Who is Big Day Events?

We love the spot where service, marketing, creativity, and entertainment meet. Our whole job comes down to one thing: make your event amazing. Our favorite part is taking “something fun for the holiday party” and turning it into something personal that people remember. Here’s what one client wrote us after an event:

“I wanted to thank you all again for a great activation! We keep hearing from attendees how much they enjoyed the engagement and the customization options. Appreciate your flexibility and execution on a super tight timeline!”Anabel, event client
